The Zambia National Women’s Lobby (ZNWL) has called for increased opportunities for women to participate in various sectors of the country, emphasizing the transformative benefits of their involvement in decision-making roles.

ZNWL Acting Executive Director, Golden Nachibinga underscored the notable contributions women have made in institutions where they hold leadership positions.

Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today, Mr. Nachibinga stressed that amplifying women’s participation is crucial for achieving inclusive development.

“The number of women in leadership and decision-making roles needs to improve for the country to fully benefit from their contributions,” said Mr. Nachibinga.

He commended government for implementing policies aimed at empowering women, such as the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), which allocates 20% specifically for women, and various initiatives under the Ministry of Community Development.
