Zambia’s High Commissioner to Australia and New Zealand, Elias Munshya has praised the efforts of Zambia’s Child, a Christian organization focused on improving the lives of vulnerable children in Zambia through education and community development.
He made the statement during the Zambia’s Child 2024 Fundraising Gala Dinner held in Sydney over the weekend.
Funds raised at the event will be directed towards improving Ipalo Christian School in Kasompe area of Chingola, which serves underprivileged children in the region.
Dr. Munshya applauded the organization for its Christ-centered approach to education, which not only imparts academic knowledge but also fosters moral and spiritual growth.
“Education is the foundation for national development, and organizations like Zambia’s Child are crucial in supporting the government’s efforts to provide educational opportunities to the most vulnerable,” said Dr. Munshya in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.
Meanwhile, Zambia’s Child Vice-President of Operations and co-founder, Kim Mukuka, emphasized the organization’s commitment to delivering quality education rooted in Christian values.
Ms. Mukuka added that Zambia’s Child also supports Manuel Community School in Kitwe and remains determined to supplement the Zambian government’s efforts to improve access to education.
