ZAMBIA HOSTS DIGITAL GOV’T AFRICA 2024 FORUM THIS WEEK

Zambia is this week scheduled to host the Digital Government Africa (DGA) 2024 Forum with over 30 countries participating.

The summit which is slated for 2nd to 4th October, is also expected to host over 500 local and international delegates and will be graced by President Hakainde Hichilema.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today, Minister of Technology and Science, Felix Mutati said the summit will provide Zambia a platform to engage, learn and share knowledge with foreign delegates that will be participating.

“The summit will also provide opportunities to create partnerships that will yield progress for future engagements,” said Mr. Mutati.

And Education Minister, Douglas Syakalima said Zambia hosting the summit is timely as government is working on including ICTs in the new curriculum for learners to know and understand the digital era the country and world at large is moving in.

“Government is doing everything possible to ensure that everything is digitalized to ensure that no one is left behind but move with the world,” said Mr. Syakalima.
