The Zambia Association of Manufacturers ZAM says it is working closely with the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry to promote the Proudly Zambia campaign which emphasizes business linkages.
ZAM Chief Executive Officer Muntanga Lindunda said this at the ongoing Local Content Conference and Expo held in Lusaka today.
Ms. Lindunda said the conference is aimed at promoting business linkages through manufacturers and other sectors to appreciate and encourage local producers.
“Harnessing local skills, talent and resources contributes to the country’s Gross Domestic Product, GDP”, said Ms. Lindunda.
She said the proudly Zambian campaign is also raising awareness on the production and consumption of locally manufactured goods and services to support the country’s economic development.
Ms. Lindunda encouraged participants to interact and create solutions that will help strengthen the sector and promote locally produced products.
