Zambia Consumers Association ZACA Executive Secretary, Juba Sakala, has urged government to rethink its decision of not implementing subsidies on fuel.
Mr. Sakala said this today when he featured on Christian Voice’s Chatback Program on the topic, “Challenges consumers are facing in various sectors of the economy”.
He said the hiked fuel prices will negatively affect Zambians whom he said are already dealing with an ailing economy.
“The new fuel prices will not only affect ordinary Zambians but also manufacturers who have to incur transport costs for their goods”, said Mr. Sakala.
He said that the cost of goods will continue to increase if no subsidies are implemented on fuel.
