SOCIALIST PARTY SAYS GOVERNANCE SHOULD BE PREMISED ON THE PEOPLE

Opposition Socialist Party President Fred M’membe has emphasized the pivotal role of ordinary people in governance and progress.

Dr. M’membe highlighted that while leaders offer guidance, it is the collective efforts of the populace that drive change.

“Chiefs just lead but it is the ordinary people who govern and deliver progress,” said Dr. M’membe in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka toda,  by Party Director Media, Brian Hapunda.

He said the Party cannot achieve success independently, hence calling for vigorous mobilization efforts to empower and involve the citizenry.

Dr. M’membe has further expressed confidence that a well-informed public, aware of the root causes of their hardships, will be instrumental in turning the nation’s fortunes around.

He has since urged party members to actively engage and educate the people to foster a stronger and more responsive political movement.
