Radio Christian Voice has launched its first ever RCV Music Awards slated for 30th November 2024 in Lusaka.
Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts Permanent Secretary Kangwa Chileshe has commended Radio Christian voice for being a pillar of support for gospel music in the country.
Speaking in a speech read on his behalf by Ministry Director Human Resources and Administration, Lemmy Kafwamfwa during a press briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. Kangwa said that there is need to support and applaud local artists who are using their talents to bring people together and promote a message of unity amidst natural calamities including the current drought that has hit the country.
He said by fostering a supportive environment, “government aims to empower local artists to reach new heights and make a lasting impact both locally and globally.
“The musical awards are progressive and will improve the gospel industry,” said Mr. Chileshe.
Speaking at the same event, Radio Christian Voice Country Manager Wongel Banda, said the RCV Music Awards are designed to empower Christian artists through the recognition of their talent, hard work, and contribution to spreading the Gospel.
Mrs. Banda said the awards are also meant to contribute to pioneering, promoting, and improving standards of Christian excellence.
She said the awards also aim to empower local artists to set a standard within the industry and enable them to break barriers and compete at an international level.
