MEGAMOLD Construction Limited has completed the delivery of 196 desks to four schools in Nalolo Constituency, Western Province, two months ahead of schedule.
The project which is funded through the expanded Constituency Development Fund, is aimed at enhancing educational resources in local communities.
In a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today, Megamold Public Relations Officer, Buttyson Kandimba says the delivery is part of the larger initiative to supply a total of 2,888 desks in 2024.
“Among the schools that benefited are Siyanda which received 49, Ngeleta 37, Lunga 90, and Muoyo secondary school received 20 amounting to 196 in total,” said Mr. Kandimba.
Mr. Kandimba has expressed happiness that the company has completed the delivery of desks within one month of the date of signing the contract, ahead of schedule.
He has since urged other contractors that were awarded tenders to supply desks to various schools in Nalolo District to expedite the process to ensure that no child sits on the floor while attending school as directed by President Hakainde Hichilema.
