The National Action for Quality Education in Zambia (NAQEZ) has called on government to update the nation on when it will undertake the 2024 teacher recruitment process.
NAQEZ Executive Director, Aaron Chansa, says the union and stakeholders are aware of the allocation for teacher recruitment under the 2024 National budget.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka, Mr. Chansa said that there is anxiety and fear that the process may not happen this year among the teachers.
“Government should come out clear on the teacher recruitment process to settles nerves among candidates,” said Mr. Chansa.
He has however called for calm among candidates who are eagerly waiting to be recruited in the civil service.
