NAQEZ CONCERNED WITH LACK OF RESOURCES FOR SOLAR PANELS

The National Action for Quality Education in Zambia (NAQEZ) has expressed disappointment at government’s omission of the purchasing of solar panels for schools in the 2025 proposed National Budget.

NAQEZ Executive Director, Aaron Chansa, said this when he featured on Christian Voices’ Chatback Program on the topic, “2025 Budget reaction in the education sector”.

Dr. Chansa said that schools have been negatively affected with the loadshedding, saying that most boarding schools depend on electricity for cooking and prep.

“The current loadshedding has also negatively affected the learning of computer lessons in schools,” said Dr. Chansa.

He said that government should have included the purchase of solar panels in schools to ensure that learning is not disturbed during future load shedding periods.
