Ministry of Health urges media to enhance ethical health reporting for informed public
The Lusaka Provincial Health Director at the Ministry of Health, Simulyama Choonga, has urged media institutions nationwide to enhance ethical health reporting.
Dr. Choonga emphasizes that the media has the power to empower individuals and the public to make informed decisions.
Speaking during a media consultative meeting on medical reporting in Lusaka today, Dr. Choonga highlighted that this engagement demonstrates a commitment to ensuring timely health reporting for the public.
“I encourage media institutions to invest in specialized health reporting,” said Dr. Choonga.
He also called for stronger collaboration between the media and the Ministry to deliver timely information and urged media practitioners to source health information from reliable sources to ensure accuracy and ultimately save lives.
