MASEBO IS DREAMING, ZAMBIANS WON’T RETAIN UPND IN 2026 – GP

Opposition Green Party President, Peter Sinkamba, has criticized Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Silvia Masebo, for urging Zambians to retain the ruling UPND government in the 2026 general elections.

Ms. Masebo cautioned that changing leadership in 2026 would be detrimental to the country’s future during her address to residents at Chartonel Primary School while touring Constituency Development Fund (CDF) projects in Chongwe District.

But Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today, Mr. Sinkamba accused the ruling party of failing to fulfill its campaign promises and stifling democratic space.

“The people have not seen any meaningful infrastructure development, the Kwacha continues to depreciate, fuel prices keep rising, and the cost of living remains high, all clear indicators of the lack of development in the country,” said Mr. Sinkamba.

He further stated that these economic and developmental challenges would significantly influence voters’ decisions in the 2026 general election.
