LCC ENHANCES SECURITY WITH 8 POLICE POSTS IN LUSAKA

Lusaka City Council (LCC) has constructed 8 police posts in a bid to enhance security in the city, with the utilization of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in the period of 2022 to 2024.

Three police posts have been constructed in Kanyama Constituency namely Makeni Bonaventure, Shalom and Leonard Cheelo while two police posts have been constructed in Kabwata Constituency namely, Lackson Mapushi and Katungu.

LCC Public Relations Manager, Chola Mwamba, added that Matero Constituency, Mandevu Constituency and Munali Constituency benefited with one police post each built in the said period.

“The construction of these police posts is part of the Council’s  effort to enhance community safety and security, with some more police posts currently under construction in the city”, said Ms. Mwamba in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

Ms. Mwamba said that the the Local Authority is committed to ensuring that meaningful development is achieved using CDF.
