Minister of Finance and National Planning Situmbeko Musokotwane says K2.94 billion was collected from toll fees in 2023 countrywide.
Dr. Musoktwane says the K2.94 billion is a 15% rise from the K2.56 billion collected in 2022.
He said this in the National Assembly today, when he responded to Pambashe member of parliament Ronald Chitotela, during the Questions for Oral answer on how much revenue was collected in toll fees, in 2023.
“The K2.94 billion was collected from the 38 toll plaza’s comprising of 27 inland and 11 points of entry,” said Dr. Musokotwane.
Dr. Musokotwane said the collected money in 2023 has been allocated to road maintenance across difference parts of the country.
