President Hakainde Hichilema has called on the Chinese government to support Zambia’s plans of manufacturing Cholera Vaccines locally.
Mr. Hichilema said this at state house in Lusaka today, when Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Du Xiaohui paid a Farewell Courtesy on him.
The Head of State said that Zambia could take advantage of China’s expertise in the manufacturing of vaccines.
“Zambia benefited from the China made covid19 vaccines and the partnership should be extended to the manufacturing of cholera vaccines locally,” said Mr. Hichilema.
And Mr. Hichilema thanked outgoing Chinese ambassador Du Xiaohui for the contribution he made through his government to help Zambia restructure part of its external debt.
He said that Zambia will continue to enhance its relations with China through partnerships that benefit both countries.
