HH OPEN TO CLERGY COUNSEL

President Hakainde Hichilema says government will always make time to receive counsel from religious leaders across different churches.

President Hichilema wrote this today on his official Facebook page, in relation to a meeting he held with the clergy from the North-Western Province, at Kansanshi Hotel last evening.

And President Hichilema said government will not interfere with the composition of Church Mother Bodies.

The President said he upholds the church’s right to freely choose their associations.

President Hichilema also said he listened to the Clergy’s concerns on issues such as  the high cost of living and reaffirmed the commitment to making things better.

“We listened to their views on pressing issues such as the high cost of living, mining, education, environmental concerns, drought and irrigation development, the fight against corruption, and the timeline for the Lobito Corridor development,”.
