President Hakainde Hichilema says it is unfortunate that some politicians are now politicizing the recently debt restructuring deal Zambia agreed with the Eurobond holders.
President Hichilema said this when the Zambia Centre for Interparty Dialogue paid a courtesy call on him at state house in Lusaka today.
President Hichilema said that politicians should instead dialogue with government and map the way forward for the benefit of Zambians.
“It is sad that some politicians are now politicizing the debt restructuring deal when they should instead offer to work with government on the debt situation”, said Mr. Hichilema.
He has underscored the need for politicians to work together to ensure the livelihoods of Zambians are improved.
