GOVT URGED TO PROMOTE ORGANIC FARMING

Agriculture Expert Gilbert Banda has stressed the need for government to embark on an agenda of restoring the land through organic farming.

Mr. Banda said this in Lusaka today when he featured on Chistian Voices’ Chatback program.

He said that the continued use of petrol chemicals through imported fertilizers is damaging the soil.

“organic farming by using manure for the soil ensures that water is retuned in the soil, something that most land is lacking,” said Mr. Banda.

Mr. Banda also said that organic farming produces more yields compared to conventional framing.
