Monze District Commissioner, Mwanza Malambo, and Town Council Secretary, Beston Kajoba, on Thursday, conducted surprise visits to various Constituency Development Fund (CDF) project sites in Bweengwa Constituency.
The purpose of the visits was to ensure that contractors were adhering to the recommended standards and guidelines for construction projects.
Speaking during the visits, Mr. Malambo emphasized the importance of building modern and durable infrastructure that will withstand the test of time.
“Government will not tolerate any wastage of resources and contractors should prioritize quality of their work”, said Mr. Malambo.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kajoba said the visits were part of the council’s ongoing efforts to monitor the quality of work being carried out.
He expressed the council’s dedication to ensuring that contractors were fulfilling their responsibilities and meeting the required standards.
Three Weeks ago Monze Town Council handed over several project sites to contractors in the three Constituencies of the District for implementation and are expected to hand over completed projects in 90 days.
