ECZ NAMES SUSPENDED GCE CENTRES

The Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) has named the 8 General Certificate of Education (GCE) Examination Centres, whose  status has been suspended indefinitely,  following examination malpractice in the 2024 exams.

ECZ Public Relations Manager, Nicolas Nkhuwa, has named the centres as Isoko GCE Centre, Mapunga GCE Centre, Kasapa Day Secondary GCE , and  Sefula GCE  center.

Mr. Nkhuwa named others as Chitimukulu Secondary GCE centre, Gesam Secondary GCE centre where results were  nullified affected 451 candidates, Bethlehem Secondary GCE centre where results were nullified affecting 1,725 candidates, Mukupa Kaoma Day Secondary GCE where nullified results affected 100 candidates.

“The ECZ hereby cautions all Examination Centres to guard against examination malpractices before, during or after the conduct of examinations,” said Mr. Nkhuwa.

Mr. Nkhuwa informed prospective candidates that the eight Centres will not conduct examinations at this level until further notice.
