CONTINENTAL TEACHING BODY SAYS EDUCATION KEY FOR DEVELOPMENT

The Africa Federation of Teaching Regulatory Authorities (AFTRA) says education is the weapon for transformation and a potent instrument for National Development.

AFTRA President Isaiah Ajiboye said this in an interview with RCV News ahead of the 11th Teaching and Learning  AFTRA annual conference, and 13th Round Table dialogue being held tomorrow under the theme, ‘The Teachers we Need for the Education We Want’, in Lusaka.

Prof. Isaiah Ajiboye says countries in Africa should invest in education in order actualize the continental  development agenda.

“Stakeholders are very impressed when governments investment in education”, said Prof. Ajiboye.

And Prof. Ajiboye said teachers are very critical because they are the drivers of education on the continent.

He said that during  the conference, President Hakainde Hichilema will be awarded for his dedication to the education sector.
