ASPIRING MATERO MP WANTS URGENT WATER SOLUTIONS

Aspiring Member of Parliament for Matero Constituency in Lusaka, Moffat Sinyangwe, is concerned with what he has called a severe water crisis in the area.

Mr. Sinyangwe says the water shortage has fueled growing social tensions, with residents competing for scarce resources, further exacerbating the crisis.

“The water problem is causing disruptions in daily life, threatening public health, and hampering economic growth,” said Mr. Sinyangwe in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

He said Chunga residents are grappling with water shortages that expose them to water-borne diseases, risking the lives of children, elderly and Local businesses.

Mr. Sinyangwe has since urged government to prioritize water infrastructure upgrades.

He said government can partner with the private sector, and development partners to take immediate and coordinated action.

“Enhancing Kafue Water Treatment Plant to boost capacity is crucial to resolving this issue and ensuring sustainable water access for the community,” said Mr. Sinyangwe.
