ZAMBIANS URGED TO UPHOLD MORALS

A Human Rights Activist, Hermis Maunda has called on the nation to practice love  and live in unity as this will guide people to shun criminal activities.

This statement was made following recent cases of murder, rape and defilement among others.

Mr. Maunda stressed that this move is important as it will develop strong morals and principles that will benefit the society.

Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka, Mr. Maunda said that the current happenings are disheartening and inhumane as they do not reflect Zambia being a Christian nation.

“As country, there is need to instil values and principle as a way of promoting the development of people and creating a sense of humanity, said Mr. Maunda.

He has therefore called on the Justice system to accord perpetrators with a deserving punishment as a deterrent to others.
