ZAMMSA ASSURES PUBLIC OF ADEQAUTE  CHOLERA RESPONSE

The Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) has reassured the public and stakeholders that the country is adequately prepared to respond to any potential cholera outbreak.

ZAMMSA Senior Manager for Corporate Communications, Bradley Chingobe, stated that the agency has implemented robust measures to ensure the continuous availability and rapid distribution of essential health commodities, particularly in light of the recent floods.

He emphasized that ZAMMSA maintains sufficient stocks of key supplies critical for cholera prevention and management.

“The critical supplies are readily available and positioned for swift deployment to affected areas as needed,” said Mr. Chingobe in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

He urged health facilities in cholera-prone areas to proactively engage with ZAMMSA for timely replenishment of critical supplies.

Mr. Chingobe called on the public to remain vigilant and strictly adhere to preventive measures outlined by health authorities.
