UPPZ CONCERNED WITH RISING COST OF LIVING

Opposition United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) leader, Charles Chanda, has expressed concern with the escalating cost of living, as seen from the food basket in Lusaka that has increased from K10,800 in January, to K11, 599 in February 2025.

Mr. Chanda has therefore called on all leaders both in government and the opposition to unite in seeking viable solutions to the economic challenges facing Zambians.

“The escalating cost of living transcends political affiliations and the struggles of ordinary citizens must be a priority for all,” said Mr. Chanda in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

He said as Zambia grapples with these economic realities, there is a need to call for unity and effective solutions to fight poverty and ensure a brighter future for all citizens which  resonates louder than ever.
