BATA ZAMBIA AND SOS CHILDREN’S PARTNER

Zambia Bata Shoe Company has partnered with SOS Children’s Villages to provide psychosocial support for children and empower young people through the YouthCan! initiative.

Speaking in Lusaka today during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Zambia Bata Managing Director, Octavia Sakala, emphasized that the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to empowering communities, uplifting children, and creating a brighter future for the next generation.

“This partnership is more than just financial aid, it is a commitment to nurturing, mentoring, and empowering children in this village to achieve their full potential,” said Mrs. Sakala.

She further noted that Bata’s impact extends beyond its products, highlighting the company’s duty to give back, support, and uplift those in need, especially children who represent the future of society.

Meanwhile, Dr. Paul Kapotwe, National Director for SOS Children’s Villages Zambia, welcomed the partnership, stating that it will encourage creativity and entrepreneurial thinking among children.

“This collaboration will uplift children and help them achieve their dreams,” said Dr. Kapotwe.
