ZNS COMMENDED FOR MAIN ARENA EXPANSION AHEAD OF CEREMONY

Paramount Chief Mpezeni of the Ngoni people of Eastern Province has thanked the Zambia National Service (ZNS) for expanding the Mtenguleni Main Arena ahead of tomorrow’s Nc’wala Traditional Ceremony in Chipata District.

Chief Mpezeni says the creation of extra space for 500 people at the main arena is very commendable.

The traditional leader has thanked the ZNS Commander Lt General Maliti Solochi for fulfilling the promise he made in January to expand the main arena before the annual ceremony is held this year.

“ZNS is for all Zambians and Chipata is happy and appreciates the Service for all the support rendered,” said Chief Mpezeni in a statement issued to RCV News by Ministry of Defense Principal Public Relations Officer Paul Shalala.

Chief Mpezeni said this when ZNS Chief of Public Relations and Liaison Brigadier General Mable Nyone paid a courtesy call on him at his Laweni Palace in Kasenengwa District.

And Ms. Nyone told the traditional leader that Lieutenant General Solochi was committed to ensuring that the projects which the Paramount Chief had requested were delivered on time.

She said works at Msipazi Dam were going on as planned and are expected to be completed in the coming months.
