The Zambia Police Service (ZPS) has urged all motorists traveling from various parts of the country to the Nc’wala Traditional Ceremony in Easten Province to strictly adhere to road traffic regulations.
Police Public Relations officer Rae Hamoonga, says adequate security measures have been put in place ahead of the Traditional Ceremony, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow 21st February,2025, in Chipata, as police officers will be on high alert to ensure the safety of all road users.
In a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today, Mr. Hamoonga emphasized that Officers will be stationed at key locations to maintain law and order, regulate traffic flow, and respond swiftly to any security concerns at the annual event.
“We advise members of the public attending the ceremony to be security-conscious and remain vigilant as large gatherings often attract criminal activities such as theft and other unlawful activities”, said Mr. Hamoonga.
He has since urged attendees to fully cooperate with police officers and adhere to any directives given to ensure the safety and peaceful progression of the ceremony.
