Beneficiaries of the Cash for Work in Kalingalinga Ward of Munali Constituency in Lusaka have received their November and December dues.
Area Councilor Mukubesa Nyoni has commended the Local Authority for releasing the funds to clear the arrears for the beneficiaries who had not been paid from October to December 2024.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News today, Mr. Nyoni said the clearance of the dues have since motivated the reopening of registration for more beneficiaries to participate and benefit from the initiative.
He has urged the Local Authority to ensure beneficiaries are paid on time to avoid hiccups in the implementation of the programme.
Mr. Nyoni has further called on the public to create a conducive environment for the beneficiaries who will be conducting some works in different localities.
“This is a government initiative and those who will not allow the workers to work accordingly, should be brought to book,” said Mr. Nyoni.
