President Hakainde Hichilema has called for effective collaboration between government and foreign embassies for socio-economic development in the country.
The President said this when British High Commissioner to Zambia Ms. Rabecca Terzeon, Tukiye’s Ambassador to Zambia, Mr. Huseyin Dicle, and Kenya’s High Commissioner to Zambia Ms. Lillian Tomitom presented their letters of credence to him at State House today.
Mr. Hichilema highlighted that the country’s policies are anchored on peace security and unity among others, hence the need for the represented countries to collaborate with the Zambian government.
“Zambia prefers to collaborate as opposed to non cooperation with its partners,” said Mr. Hichilema.
Mr. Hichilema has further urged the diplomats to continue the legacy of their predecessors and ensure mutual acceleration of economies of countries represented.
He has warned against spending more resources on handling conflict but on socio-economic activities that can bring about peace and unity.
