CAMFED TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT TO OVER 40, 000 GIRLS

Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED) says it aims to provide educational support to 46,492 girls in 2025, including those in high school and skills training centers across the country.

CAMFED says the anticipated target number represents an increase of close to 10,000 additional girls to the programme this year.

Organization Executive Director, Namenda Malupande, emphasized that CAMFED’s support goes beyond financial assistance, also offering mentorship and other forms of support.

Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka, Ms. Mapulande also acknowledged the significant role of government through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in the successful implementation of several projects, which help more girls and women access quality education and skills training.

Meanwhile, Ms. Malupande has expressed satisfaction with the progress made by those on the program, noting that both progression and retention rates are high.

“This is quiet exciting because when you look at the schools where CAMFED operates from, the progression and retention rates are very high and this is due to the activities and support  that CAMFED provides to the girls and young women,” said Ms. Malupande.
