Mr. Sambaombe emphasized the critical need for accessible credit facilities that empower local entrepreneurs.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today, Mr. Sambaombe said that the banking sector has the potential to ensure that small businesses not only stay afloat but also expand through providing access to finance.
“By offering realistic and affordable loan options, banks can directly contribute to the vitality of the local economy,” said Mr. Sambaombe.
He said that when small businesses thrive, they generate employment opportunities, stimulate innovation, and improve the living standards of people in the community.
He further urged banks to view their role beyond profitability, highlighting their responsibility as partners in national development.
