BUILD ZAMBIA 2064 CALLS FOR COLLABORATION IN CHOLERA ELIMANTION

Build Zambia 2064 Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Mushalika, has urged the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health to collaborate and ensure schools do not become breeding points for cholera.

Mr. Mushalika says learning institutions are centers of excellence where cleanliness and proper hygiene should be taught and implemented to create a conducive environment for both teachers and pupils.

“Schools must be safer than homes because more children are  gathered in one place than home,” said Mr. Mushalika in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today.

He said there is need for both Ministries to focus on preventing the spread of the epidemic that has seen a rising number of confirmed cases in Nakonde District of Muchinga Province.
