Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ), Executive Director, Andrew Mwenda, has called for political reconciliation between President Hakainde Hichilema and former President Edgar Lungu for the benefit of the nation.
Bishop Mwenda says that unity is crucial for Zambia’s development, particularly in the face of the ongoing economic challenges the nation is grappling with.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News, Bishop Mwenda said the commemoration of the Declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation, should be a time for reflection, prayer, and commitment to national progress.
“December 29, is important for both leaders and the Christian community to combine faith with action by praying and working together to lift the country out of burdens,” said bishop Mwenda.
Bishop Mwenda emphasized that Zambia must focus on hard work and unity to overcome its economic challenges.
He has also urged citizens to rise up with a renewed sense of responsibility, using both their intellect and labor to address the nation’s challenges.
