The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has registered 112,640 new voters under the Continuous Voters Registration exercise between January 2023 and October 2024.
Of the new registered voters, 57, 576 are males while 55,064 are females.
ECZ Corporate Affairs Manager, Patricia Luhanga, says in October 2024 alone, ECZ registered 10,352, out of which 5,007 are male while 5,345 are female.
“Samfya recorded the highest number of registered voters in the month under review at 1,211, while Kabompo recorded the least at 33,” said Ms. Luhanga in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.
Ms. Luhanga said ECZ currently conducts Continuous Registration of Voters in 30 districts.
