Chairperson of Former and Current Rwandese Refugees Association in Zambia, Cédric Habimana, has expressed concern with revelations that Rwandese nationals are allegedly the main culprits in the illegal and immoral price hike of ZNS-subsidized Mealie Meal.
Mr. Habimana say the reports are unfortunate as most Zambians are still grappling with the events of the drought.
He said that such allegations could tarnish the reputation of the Rwandese community in Zambia and potentially compromise their safety.
“The association will not shield anyone found wanting in these illegal activities,” said Mr. Habimana.
He has therefore urged his members to uphold the rule of law and ethical conduct in their businesses.
