ECZ URGES ZAMBIANS TO REGISTER AS VOTERS

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has called on citizens across the nation to participate in the continuous voter registration exercise being conducted at provincial centres and selected districts.

ECZ Chief Electoral officer, Brown Kasaro, says the initiative is aimed at bolstering voter turnout for the upcoming general elections and ensuring a more inclusive electoral process.

Speaking at a consultative meeting in Lusaka today, Mr. Kasaro emphasized the importance of the ongoing reforms in shaping a responsive and inclusive electoral framework.

“The continuous voter registration exercise is a critical step in the commission’s efforts to accommodate the diverse needs of Zambian voters,” said Mr. Kasaro.

He also said that the decision to implement the continuous voter registration exercise reflects the commissions commitment to ensuring that every eligible Zambian has the chance to participate in shaping the country’s democratic future.
