The Commuter Rights Association of Zambia (CRAZ) says it has concluded discussions with the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) and other stockholders, on the phasing out of Hiace Mini buses used for local routes across the country.
CRAZ President, Aaron Kamuti, said this when he featured on Christian voices’ Chatback program in Lusaka today.
Mr. Kamuti said that guidance will given on how the phasing out process will be done.
“The Haice buses from the factory are meant to transport cargo and not human beings hence the need to phase them out,” said Mr. Kamuti
He said that the decision from stakeholders comes from the safety assessments conducted on the said buses.
