The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says the ballot papers for the Kawambwa Council Chairperson by-election in Kawambwa and Lukanga ward Local Government by-election in Kabwe will arrive in Lusaka from Dubai, United Arab Emirates today.
The Council Chairperson by-election in Kawambwa is scheduled for 27th October 2024 while Lukanga the ward Local Government by-election is scheduled for 4th November 2024,
In a statement to RCV News, ECZ Senior Corporate Affairs Officer, Sylvia Bwalya has called on the media and participating political parties to witness the arrival of the ballot papers at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport at 14:35hrs.
“Verification of the ballot papers with the participating political parties will take place today, Wednesday 23rd October 2024 at 16:30hrs at the Electoral Commission of Zambia offices,” said Ms. Bwalya.
