Access Bank Zambia has partnered with Mastercard, an American multinational payment card services, to provide a unified cross-border money movement solution through Access Africa, the Bank’s international money transfer service .
The partnership will see both customers and non-customers of Access Bank send and receive international payments to and from over 150 countries where Mastercard is present.
Access Bank Zambia Managing Director, Lishala Situmbeko, says this is aimed at simplifying cross border transactions for businesses and consumers.
“The collaboration with Mastercard underscores Access Bank’s commitment to providing fast, assured-value, transparent, and traceable payment origination, and delivery solutions at competitive rates,” said Mr. Situmbeko in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.
He said customers will now have greater choice and convenience when making international payments, benefiting from reduced transaction costs, and enhanced financial inclusivity.
“By enabling fast, secure, and cost-effective international payments, we are empowering Zambian businesses and individuals to connect with the global economy like never before,” said Mr. Situmbeko.
And Access Bank Zambia Head of Retail, Digital and Business Banking, Teza Ngulube, said the partnership will not only expand the Bank’s geographical reach but also enhance the overall customer experience.
