Police have commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of Simbarashe Mwaba, aged 28, whose body was found in a decomposed state in one of the dilapidated upstairs within ZAF Twin Palm Base, after being reported missing on 26th September, 2024.
Police Public Relations Officer, Rea Hamoonga, says the body was found approximately 20 meters from his elder brother’s residence, with a bottle of pesticide beside him.
He said Mr. Simbarashe Mwaba was reported missing on September 26, 2024 around 1600 hours in the Ibex Hill area after visiting his elder brother.
Mr. Hamoonga said the deceased had travelled from his residence in Meanwood Ndeke after finishing work at the airport to visit his brother, Amos Mwaba, at ZAF Twin Palm.
“It was reported that Mr. Simbarashe Mwaba shared with his brother some financial challenges he was experiencing, including credit issues and rental arrears,” said Mr. Hamoonga in statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.
