CDF AMOUNT OVER PUBLICISED- KANG’OMBE

Kamfinsa Member of Parliament, Christopher Kang’ombe, says the high publicity of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), has raised expectations that the allocated amount can not solve.

Mr. Kangombe says the increased awareness on the amount does not match the reality for constituencies to solve community problems.

He was speaking today, during a webinar organised by the Centre Trade Policy and Development (CTPD) and partners, on improving public participation in the planning and implementation CDF.

Mr. Kangombe also said constituencies are receiving too many instructions from the central government on what the money should be used for, against the actual amount.

And Mr. Kangombe said the central government is not doing as many capital projects as they should, leading to CDF having little impact in communities.
