CHURCH SHOULD LEAD FIGHT AGAINST HOMOSEXUALITY

Presiding Bishop of Pentecostal Assemblies of God Zambia, Joshua Banda, has called on the church and other stakeholders to act on President Hakainde Hichilema’s pronouncement of NO same sex marriages in Zambia.

Dr. Banda said this in Lusaka today when he featured on Christian Voices’ Chatback program on the topic, “Community transformation”.

He said that the president’s pronouncement must be followed with sensitization and awareness by the church and other stakeholders to ensure Zambia and Christian Values are preserved.

“Same sex marriages are a clear attack on the family and this should not be tolerated as pronounced by the president”, said Dr. Banda.

He has however encouraged policy makers to also support the president’s pronouncement by ensuring there are sufficient laws that punish offenders that practice homosexuality in Zambia.

And Dr. Banda has also encouraged families to inculcate good morals among their children, saying that families have a huge role to play in the fight against homosexuality in Zambia.
