Lusaka City Council Public Relations Manager Chola Mwamba has warned mobile money booth owners to remove any non-operational structures.
Ms. Mwamba says this will complement the Local Authority’s efforts to maintain a clean city environment.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News, Ms. Mwamba expressed concern over the presence of unused mobile booths in the city, noting that some have become makeshift waste storage sites.
“It is concerning that there still mobile booths standing in the city, yet not operational”, said Ms. Mwamba.
Ms. Mwamba has also called on mobile money operators to operate in designated places and not leave booths abandoned.
