Local Government Service Commission Chairperson, Ackson Sejani, has expressed concern over some performance gaps and reports of underutilization of Constituency Development Fund (CDF)in some councils.
Mr. Sejani said this has led to the Commission creating a bi-annual performance appraisal tool for the utilization and implementation of CDF above other available annual performance appraisal systems.
In a statement issued to RCV News by Mpika Town Council Public Relations Officer, Mushota Mpundu in Lusaka today, Mr. Sejani said this during the official opening of an orientation workshop for new Members of Human Resource Committees in Mpika District.
“The Local Government Service Commission has embarked on robust program to appraise and evaluate Principal Officers on their performance with special focus on execution and implementation of CDF programs in all the District Councils of Muchinga Province and Northern Province”, said Mr. Sejani.
Meanwhile, the Commission is also inducting and swearing in new members in Human Resource and Management Committees where several Councils have already received new officers from devolved Government Ministries who are now reporting to the Local Authority.
