ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVIST CALLS FOR SUSTAINED CLIMATE ADVOCACY

Zambian Environmental Rights Activist, Prudence Bwalya, says there is need for ongoing advocacy efforts in fighting climate change, since there are still individuals that are  unaware of climate change and its implications.

Ms. Bwalya said this during a National Learning Workshop in Lusaka, organized by Centre for Environmental Justice, CEJ, with support from the United Nations Democracy Fund.

She also stressed the need to promote smart agricultural practices in Zambia amidst the challenges posed by climate change.

And Ms. Bwalya commended CEJ for empowering Civil Society Organizations to amplify their voices in climate action.

Meanwhile, the House of Ruth Foundation Executive Director, Mirriam Chitalu, urged CSOs to collaborate closely with the Government by recognizing its wealth of information and resources in the fight against climate change.
