Secretary to the Cabinet Patrick Kangwa says unnecessary workshops within the public service must come to an end.
Mr. Kangwa says going forward, cabinet will not accept applications of hosting conferences and meetings outside the districts operated from.
Speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. Kangwa has directed that meetings and conferences must be held in government buildings within respective districts.
“The notion that the public service can only concentrate at workshops is unacceptable,” said Mr. Kangwa.
He said that the money government will save from stopping unnecessary workshops, will be channelled to the procurement of solar panels to be installed at government offices countrywide.
