National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIMA, has suspended accreditation for Private Health Care Providers with immediate effect, until need for new private hospitals arises.
NHIMA Head Public Relations, King Syacika, says the suspension however does not affect the Private Health Care Providers that are already accredited by NHIMA.
Mr. Syacika said in a statement issued in Lusaka today that the suspension does not equally affect the private facilities whose applications are at the contracting stage.
He said NHIMA will notify the public once this suspension is lifted and a call for applications will be made public in line with required services and geographic regions that will be required after a needs assessment.
