EFZ URGES UNITY, PEACE AS COUNTRY MOURNS FORMER PRESIDENT

The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) has expressed sadness over the passing of former President Edgar Lungu and has called on Zambians to uphold unity and peace during this time.

Let us unite “all one strong and free “above divisive party politics, conspiracy, falsehood and other things that can divide   us,” said EFZ Executive Director Andrew Mwenda in a statement to RCV News in Lusaka today.

Bishop Mwenda noted that as a mother body of the Evangelical Church, EFZ remembers the former President for his commitment to national prayer and his passion of national values and principles, particularly through the Ministry of National Guidance and Religious Affairs.

He expressed hope that Mr. Lungu’s legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

Bishop Mwenda also extended heartfelt condolences to the late President’s widow, Esther Lungu, his family, and the nation as a whole.
