Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is today expected in Zambia for a working visit following an invitation by President Hakainde Hichilema.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mulambo Haimbe announced that the visit is scheduled for 15th to 16th May 2025.
Mr. Haimbe said during her stay, President Nandi-Ndaitwah will engage in bilateral discussions with President Hichilema, focusing on areas of mutual interest, including bilateral, regional, and multilateral cooperation.
“This marks her first official visit to Zambia since assuming the presidency and is expected to further strengthen the longstanding and cordial ties between the two countries,” said Mr. Haimbe in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.
He said Zambia and Namibia share strong fraternal relations premised on a shared culture and history of the liberation struggle of the region, as well as political, social and economic interaction at various levels.
Mr. Haimbe further reiterated Zambia’s commitment to deepening its collaboration with Namibia to support the collective development goals of the region.
